Litigation is the core of our practice. We represent civil litigants in general commercial litigation, trademark and unfair competition cases, Internet-related disputes, wrongful termination and restrictive employment covenant matters, and serious personal injury cases. We also represent criminal defendants accused of both "white collar" and "blue collar" offenses, including criminal matters arising out of infringement of intellectual property rights. The hallmark of our litigation practice is to undertake each and every case with an eye to its eventual trial -- a strategy that, in our experience, builds a foundation not only for success at trial but for the best possible settlement as well. David Stein, who has tried scores of criminal and civil cases and who holds a Master's degree (LL.M.) in intellectual property law, received his early training in two of the top litigation firms in Philadelphia. He subsequently founded his own criminal defense firm where he handled cases ranging from misdemeanors to death-eligible felonies. He has achieved success in bench and jury trials, motion practice and -- no less significantly -- in forging value-added settlements that put the client's interests first. Mr. Stein is a past member of the Committee on Trademarks and Unfair Competition of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and, while receiving his LL.M. degree, was an extern in the prestigious trademark department of the Colgate-Palmolive Company in New York City. Along with attorney David M. Nieporent, a former member of the Law Review at St. John's University Law School with vast knowledge of trademark, Internet, technology, and commercial law, the firm has achieved extensive experience in both commercial matters and in cases focusing on trademark and unfair competition. With the addition of trademark attorney Ronald Coleman as counsel, the firm's intellectual property litigation capacity covers the full range of IP disputes in courts, arbitrations, and mediations across the United States and, in so doing, successfully has gone toe-to-toe with some of the top intellectual property firms in the country. In the same vein, the firm has represented individuals accused of violating criminal copyright statutes and has served as a resource to other attorneys in providing anticounterfeiting enforcement advice. Noah Witty, who has deep legal expertise by virtue of his years as a practicing litigator, adds valuable, practical insights on litigation matters as well as in significant personal injury cases.
